NOTE: There are more than a hundred towns called Hoseinabad in Iran and at least ten in Khuzestan. This one was selected because it is along an Achaemenid-Parthian road, but the finds may be from another Hoseinabad.

Āsiyāb (G.8-05.I)
Late Islamic water mills (āsiyāb-e ābī), which gave its name to modern Chahār Āsiyāb village. Surveyed by Gaube (1968). Since destroyed by urbanisation, but still visible on KH9-Hexagon imagery (1984).

Tapeh Mahtaj
Neolithic settlement (150x70m), possibly seasonal, on a natural hillock. Finds of chipped and grinding stones, objects of clay, stone and bone. Excavated in 2015 by Darabi. Badly damaged and recently grazed.
