Synagela, or Syagela, or Souagela was Lelegian city in the eastern part of Bodrum peninsula. It is located on a hill near Çiftlik Village. As a member of the Delian League constantly paid taxes to the Attica-Delos Maritime Union. Stephanos of Byzation wrote that the name Syangela means 'King's tomb', in the language of the country.
